Woodland Wander – Moodus

This Mother’s Day morning Bird, Flora, Fungi viewing, led by East Haddam Land Trust directors, will be a chance to create family memories on a special day. Hikers young and old can enjoy the easy-going trails of this land trust preserve — a wildlife gem in Moodus. Meadows and trees provide wonderful habitat for birds. Wetlands offer places to study amphibians, insects, other wildlife, and plant life. Interior meadows and woodlands provide quiet respite. Park in the lot along Great Hillwood Road. Walkers are invited to contribute light snacks for an after-hike tailgate.
